Wednesday, February 21, 2007 hey everyone, yes, i know, FINALLY. i've been really really busy, its insane, work is driving me nuts, im supposed to have an exam today but i decided to give school a miss because i think ill be able toget alot more done at home than at school. see when you make these kind of decisions it means you are either very stressed or you've gone mad. or, its probably a combination of both. ill still be able to take my exam when i come back to school though so no worries, its quite flexible. i havent seen you guys in AGES. i dont know why im so busy sometimes, thanks for asking, for your smses, im really proud of all of you, especially karen for pulling all of this together. thanks lemeul for asking about the UN thing, it took up my entire weekend actually thats why i wasnt in church on saturday and sunday sometime back. it was held at NTU and basically every participant represents a country in the UN, for me, i was representing Uganda in the African Union so it was lots of prep work and you've got to be alert and listening throughout the whole conference which lasted about 10 hours a day for two days straight. but it was fun nonetheless, food was really really good too, plus point! what else have i been up to? theres just too much to say, i really dont know why im so tied down. i'd love to come for yf if i could but sometimes you really just cant. like last week i had to organize a house outing for my entire house cos im a house rep, it was..lots of work and it took up the entire day. ill be coming for yf this saturday though, FINALLY right? haha, but i've got to rush off after yf because of a study session. i've got CTs coming up really soon, already started but it'll last for the next two weeks so that means more studying, more late nights and more eyebags. i've also been very very unfortunate. lets see, im sure all of you know about my finger infection? a wart grew so it had to be removed, my daddy burnt it off and so now there are two holes on my finger, one is alot smaller and its pretty much healed, the other is still quite..RAW. its really gross you can see the inside of my finger and when i put it straight up, it looks like something bit part of it off. ahh but its healing so it should be fine soon. also, i landed up with TWO eye infections, first on the right one which made it really hard to see and to blink because it was so painful. thank God i started on antibiotics and the swelling went down so it was fine. then after that the left eye came down with an infection too, this time it hurt even more and i could see something growing! this was worse too because my dad had to PRICK it, it was quite a truamatic process. you're not supposed to move your eyeball, cant blink, nothing, when he's poking the sty or the needle might scratch your cornea or something. i couldnt stop yelping and howling, it was so painful and so uncomfortable and then when it was finally done, there was blood coming out of my eye, it was quite a sight (then again, i couldnt really see, sigh). yes, all sorts of strange things have been happening to me, like a ear infection as well which needed pricking too but that one didnt really hurt and its fine now. it was terrible, terrible... mmm..that aside, lets see what else i have coming up.i've got two research papers to write, one for KI and one for LIT H3, both are for the A levels and are due in the third term which doesnt give me much time really. also, i've got elections and elects camp coming up for the new council batch whcih needs organizing as well, theres also the arts and social science quiz organized by NUS soon which im really scared because i dont know much at all and we're competing with all the big schools, then theres the leadership symposium which takes up all my thursday evenings till night where we have to go down to the parliament for training and mundane things like learning how to write a bill. uhh, theres also pre university seminar that i have to prepare for coming up soon, its crazy work that one, dont even want to think about it, and in between, theres soccer training, high jump training, lots of homework and common tests to study for. its going to be quite a suffocating period for me so please undrrstand if i come for yf looking deadtired, because i really am:( but as tired as i am, im still happy and proud to be in this group, all of you are so encouraging, really. keep it up okay? ill try and join you guys this saturday morning (happy birthday in advance sean!) but i've got a study session in the mornign too so ill see what i can do about it, havent really gotten down to talking and meeting all of you in a group. ah well, for what is worth, really, keep at this and it'll be a great year as a group. ill be off now, back to writing my essays, all the best to those with CTs too, its tough but we'll all pull through yes? see you around everyone! rachel God's Child =) at 3:13:00 PM
